The Story behind MyZen Retreats
Before MyZen – and before motherhood – I was a TV producer for The Luxury Channel, worked in events, and spent years at a large Indian conglomerate. I’ve always loved creating atmosphere — making a space feel inviting and relaxing, hosting and bringing people together. But when my three children arrived in quick succession, life became very full, very fast, and I found myself craving more time with my family.

My path into healing began much earlier. In my early twenties I travelled to Kerala, India, where I first encountered Ayurveda, yoga and the power of therapeutic touch — experiences that stayed with me. I later trained in breath-led yoga with Swami ji, an 85-year-old Indian master who taught me how breath brings the body back to calm.
Motherhood became a big turning point — so much love and joy, of course, but also overwhelm, sleeplessness and those moments where you feel pulled in every direction. One of my children had frequent tantrums, and I often think: if only I’d known then what I know now about calm and grounding. My births taught me different things too: one reminded me how vital modern medicine can be; another showed me just how powerful breath is when the mind stays steady.
MyZen grew from my learning experiences, intuition and a desire to help people reclaim their energy and feel like themselves again. I’ve navigated hormonal imbalance, fatigue, skin flare-ups and seasons of feeling disconnected from myself. I almost named it My Time, because time is the one thing most of us — especially mothers — rarely take for ourselves. Creating space, balance and moments to reconnect with ourselves and the people we love is so important.
As I step into 50, I feel more grounded, clearer and more myself than ever. I believe in the life-force energy of nature — in herbs, in the foods that we eat, the water, and simple rituals that support wellbeing. Everything is energy, age is energy, we are how we feel.

My work blends traditional healing arts with a modern understanding of the nervous system — from Reiki and energy medicine to facial reflexology, natural facelift massage and somatic movement.
Music has always been a big part of how I shift mood and energy. I grew up dancing and listening to music almost all the time, and movement and rhythm have always been my way of coming back into my body.
